My birth philosophy
I believe that mothers are the sole authority when it comes to pregnancy, birth & motherhood.
I believe that mothers deserve to feel deeply respected and highly valued in their birth space.
I believe that women's bodies are perfectly designed by God to give birth and that birth unfolds best when it is undisturbed and physiologically supported.
I believe that when mothers deeply trust their intuition and confidently walk in full sovereignty over their pregnancy & birth, they emerge as empowered, autonomous and confident mothers.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I am a Christ-follower, wife, girl mom, sister + friend. I live in the Lehigh Valley with my high school sweetheart husband and our two daughters. With a background in trauma-informed social work, I’ve spent my career empowering women to reclaim their strength and voice. I’ve always had a deep desire to walk alongside others in authentic connection and community which I believe we were created for and leads to healing . Supporting mothers in this season of life perfectly ties together my skills and passions while supporting my family and allowing me to stay home with my girls. I am grateful.
My birth experiences with my daughters were transformational. My first birth was at a birth center and while it was a “successful” natural birth, I was left disappointed at how their arbitrary policies sabotaged the physiological process and created unnecessary problems during my labor and immediate postpartum. When I became pregnant again, I was determined to create a better experience and have sovereignty over my own birth. I dove headfirst into learning all I could about physiological birth and worked through fears and wounds to create a deep trust in my body’s innate wisdom. I gathered together an incredible birth team whose values aligned with mine. What I experienced was a beautiful, undisturbed, peaceful, redemptive, empowering home birth. It was amazing. It changed me. It lit a fire within me to support others in pursuit of their own empowering births which led me to pursue a doula certification through Birth Belongs to Women in 2024.
Loving photography + videography was a natural outcome of getting into birth work. Being around such beauty, important life events and unforgettable moments- I couldn't help but capture it. What started out as a casual interest quickly turned into a passion that seamlessly goes hand in hand with supporting women + their families.
I am always seeking to expand my knowledge and skills in birth work to better serve my clients. I work with Malachite Midwifery as their midwife assistant, I am trained in Neonatal Resuscitation, CPR/BLS, and have initial training in Infant Cranialsacral Therapy. I have trainings scheduled this year (2026) to become a Spinning Babies Certified Birth Professional and Certified Lactation Support + Educator as well.
